Taking a nap

Pepper Jax likes to sleep on the sheets when Pat moves to go do something. Here, he took over while Patty was helping me with something else. He is such a marvelous dog but lately is hard to get back in the house. He found a tiny baby rabbit on the patio yesterday or I saw it and getting him inside wasn't easy. But we did and I shielded the rabbit with a broom and this morning the rabbit was gone. I guess his momma came back to nurse him.

  1. Now that's a wonderful dog, Abe!Good on you to shield the little bunny. This morning I heard a frightened young blackbird making a lot of noise in the Japanese cherrytree. The reason for all that noise was a black cat under the same tree. Lateron blackbird and black cat had disappeared.
Thanks for the visit. It was wonderful to have my daughters, their partners and the grandchildren all together in Tasmania, in December.

  2. Nice to hear from Wil, sounds like she had a nice visit with her daughters and grandchildren. Pepper Jax is a nice dog, but like children, he sometimes makes me angry when he doesn't listen or comes in with really buddy feet, but he's learning to wait on the towel till I wipe them off.

  3. He seems to be resting from that chase still :-)
I'm just (re)reading John Steinbeck's "Travels with Charley", and I finally begin to understand the importance of having a dog (we never had one).

Thank you so much for the very nice comment - you load me with praise :-)
